Well, the name sort of gives it away. Kyle’s mom, an outdoor educator (for more than 30 years) and canoeing enthusiast started her own business; Kirkwood Canoe.
Kirkwood Canoe is an instruction based canoeing company that will teach, and certify through ORCKA. Kirkwood Canoe teaches: basic canoeing, river running, stylist paddling, and canoe tripping skills and techniques to get you feeling comfortable on the water. Also offered are instructor courses for those who have the necessary certifications and want to teach canoeing.
Kirkwood Canoe is mainly run out of the Muskoka Region in Ontario, Canada, however, we will travel for specific courses upon request.
Rain or shine, Kyle and Kirkwood Canoe as a whole can been seen around the Town of Huntsville town docks throughout the summer teaching basic courses and either in Algonquin Park or Haliburton Highland Water Trails.
